Documentary cinematographer: imagery in service of reality, in France and abroad
Rodolph Séraphine served as director of photography on Roller Girls, a 6x52-minute documentary series (Canal+ and Planete+). He also filmed in China on The people above the clouds (52 min, directed by Thierry Boscheron), a documentary following the Qiang people, an ancestral ethnic minority in the Chinese mountains, over a full year — from spring to autumn — documenting their centuries-old pastoral way of life. His experience across both reportage and narrative work, in France and on shoots abroad, allows him to bring a controlled yet spontaneous image to documentary filmmaking, whether for portraiture, sports, or personal stories.
